Founded in 1989, the United States Golf Teachers Federation began making history by training and certifying golf teaching professionals for the golfing public. By opening the door to those that previously were never given the opportunity to teach golf, the USGTF started a trend that has led the game through two decades of growth and popularity never seen before.

Today, the USGTF is the largest organization of strictly golf teaching professionals in the world with over 18,000 members. The USGTF is a founding member of the World Golf Teachers Federation® and is one of 35 member nations that make up this entity. Both Federations help to establish the world's standard for golf teaching professionals.

The USGTF educational theme is that of progressive learning. We incorporate four levels of certification for the golf teaching professional. You may select any level of certification that is necessary for your needs. It is not required to attend Level I or Level II prior to attending the Level III full certification. This approach allows you the opportunity to progress comfortably at your own pace in the golf teaching industry.

Thanks to the USGTF I was able to continue my education as a professional coach and instructor. If you are interested in becoming a golf instructor I highly recomend the USGTF, The amount of time that it takes is a lot less tehn the PGA 4 year program because it focus on the information necessary for youu to become a good instructor.  The USGTF has developed other aspects of its program in order for you to learn the business of golf , however ther is no better place to get started then their Certification course.
